Colonsay Festival of Spring

The Colonsay Festival of Spring is a well-established event in our island’s calendar when visitors and locals can come to enjoy this magical season and learn more about the rich natural heritage of the island through activities as diverse as Dry Stone Walling, Historical & Ornithological Walks, and Foraging to name but a few.

Autumn Food and Drink Festival

This annual festival runs for 2 weeks in October and is a celebration of all the fabulous food and drink that Colonsay and Scotland produces.  It includes a good mix of cookery classes, bottling and preserving sessions, foraging for lunch, as well as craft workshops and plenty of activities for children.  Lots of informative talks on local flora and fauna and history, as well as guided walks, are also on offer.  See www.colonsayfoodfest.co.uk

Ceòl Cholasa Folk Festival

Ceòl Cholasa is a hugely popular traditional music festival held around the middle of September each year. It’s a tribute to Colonsay’s charm that outstanding and well known musicians are willing to take a weekend out of their touring schedules to come to make music on the island.
